Clinical & Operational Overview

Function: A non-invasive medical peripheral designed to continuously monitor arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate Design: Features a rigid, plastic hard-shell finger-clip design that secures comfortably over an adult fingertip to stabilize the optical signal alignment. Safety: Built with a flexible, latex-free TPU jacketed cable designed for repeated cleaning and disinfection between patients. OxiMax Technology: Features an integrated digital microchip inside the sensor housing that continuously communicates with the monitoring console. This aids performance under challenging physiological conditions such as low peripheral perfusion or patient motion. Materials: Constructed using durable, medical-grade TPU jackets that resist kinking, alongside latex-free and DEHP-free housing mechanisms. Patient Criteria: Designed exclusively for adult patients weighing more than 40 kg (approx. 88 lbs). Clinical Purpose: It tracks pulse rate and functional arterial oxygen saturation (%SpO₂) noninvasively using photoplethysmography (PPG) Site Rotation Routine: To avoid pressure sores, skin necrosis, or circulation problems, the finger clip location must be systematically moved every 4 hours to an alternate finger site Monitoring Limits: This rigid-clip hardware is contraindicated for long-term continuous bedside tracking or for highly active, ambulatory patients.
